2. Purposes and Legal Bases for Processing Personal Data
The principal purposes for which UAB “Taiklu” processes personal data are as follows:
Assessment of creditworthiness: UAB “Taiklu” assesses a customer’s creditworthiness on the basis of its legitimate interests and where necessary for entering into a contract.
Internal administration (organisational management, document management, financial management and accounting): UAB “Taiklu” processes personal data on the basis of its legitimate interests, in order to comply with applicable legal requirements and for internal administrative purposes, including the proper management of the company’s organisational structure, documentation, finances and accounting.
Debt management: We process relevant personal data for the purpose of managing customer debts where such processing is necessary for the performance of a contract or for the purposes of the legitimate interests of UAB “Taiklu” in ensuring effective debt management.
Establishment, exercise and defence of legal claims: We process personal data for the purpose of establishing, exercising, assigning and defending legal claims where such processing is necessary for the performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, or for the purposes of the legitimate interests of UAB “Taiklu” relating to the enforcement or defence of legal claims.
Direct marketing, customer feedback and market research: UAB “Taiklu” processes personal data for direct marketing purposes where the customer has provided consent.
Management of enquiries: In order to respond to your enquiries, UAB “Taiklu” processes your personal data on the basis of its legitimate interests.

Video surveillance (protection of property): UAB “Taiklu” does not itself conduct video surveillance within or around the company’s premises. Any such surveillance is carried out by the landlord of the premises.

The applicable retention period is determined taking into account the legitimate interests of UAB “Taiklu” and applicable legal requirements, including requirements relating to accounting, archiving, statutory limitation periods and other relevant obligations.

Personal data collected for the purposes specified above may be disclosed to recipients such as public authorities and institutions, law enforcement authorities, courts and other dispute resolution bodies, as well as other persons performing functions assigned to them by law (for example, bailiffs, notaries, debt collection companies and insolvency administrators). In such cases, UAB “Taiklu” takes appropriate measures to ensure that such data processors process personal data in accordance with the instructions of UAB “Taiklu” and applicable legislation and requires them to implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure the security of personal data.

As a general rule, personal data is processed within the European Union / European Economic Area (EU/EEA). However, in certain circumstances, personal data may be transferred to and processed outside the EU/EEA.

You may also request that the processing of your personal data, other than its storage, be suspended where the data is processed in breach of applicable law or this Privacy Policy.
